Ideas resulting from yesterday's brainstorm.

Most of these are very vague.

QUIZ/DATING/GAME

Opposites attract. Dating/debate. Taking opposite personality/class and encouraging them to find common ground through questions and debate. See if it's possible in extreme circumstances.

The Faker. Addressing the issue of online dating and people pretending to be someone else. The women/men have to pick out the faker from the potential dates. Who is genuine.

PANEL

Students/youths are the judges. They judge adults/teachers/parents on talents/looks (I don't know yet, vague)

MUSIC

A Jam Show. An eclectic collection of musicians are welcomed to the show and queued up (like in Who Wants to Be A Millionaire where the potential contestants are sat round the front they would all be together and potentials but won't all necessarily be used). There would be musicians with all kinds of skills from okarina, cello, wobble board, recorder, ukelele. Unusual ones, even instruments they have invented themselves and they would be interviewed and asked to demonstrate. Some would be good and some bad and some funny. Audience could even participate with their hands/feet/voices. Basically the presenter would be a composer type and they would jam and come up with new sounds and noises, perhaps some foley. It could be sounds to images or just to eachother.

CHILDRENS

How to have a childhood. Looking at why children try to grow up so quickly and why they have more worries now at a younger age. What causes it. What goes through their minds. Why childhood doesn't appeal to them etc. Not sure what the show would actually consist of.

Troubled Ones. The trouble makers of a school would be brought together to find out why they do what they do. Perhaps they are two school rivals or something. But they are questioned a bit like on jeremy kyle but not as mean or weird.

DEBATE

Opposites chosen to discuss areas of interest. i.e. Richer students not affected by tuition rise vs poor who won't be able to go to university. Include experts/ university people.

Topical Teen debate. Teens of all classes/expertism/ talents and backgrounds discuss current affairs?


I also had a vague idea for an educational show which would teach people things that are rarely taught. Similar to James May's Man Lab but focussed on all people not just men and an eclectic range of things.
