Definitely the best way to get experience- first hand - just make sure you do the usual and ask plenty of questions and where necessary take notes - don't be shy! Also make sure you do plenty of networking (business cards at the ready)
You've done a superstar job, Cat. All the notes are exactly what I needed as Editor and DIT. On set it was notable how good an eye you kept on continuity, spotting many things no one else had. Well done.
