Pre-Production: Style

I know I want this to be british, gritty and real. I don't want it to be all greys and monotones though. It shouldn't be depressing but interesting and thrilling. It won't be grand and glam like most cop shows. A lot of english crime dramas are real looking but with everything else born of fantasy. This series is near to reality in all the procedures and I think the style needs to reflect that. Will try photoshopping some photos to give an idea of how it would look.
