I always hate the initial stage of coming up with ideas. I often feel like I am coming up with ideas just to have an idea and it's never anything I actually want to make.
I wanted to make something that would have impact and something that has a message or makes people think. An eye opener. Something that I care about. And I was veering towards an epic ish documentary about the earth but I couldn't find a focus and didn't know where to start my research.
Currently I am reading the 6th novel in the Roy Grace series by Peter James. They are fantastic crime novels and so I am going to pitch an adaptation for them. This idea already has a focus and I can start my research straight away and know how to begin.
Hopefully by next tuesday I will have formed a better idea of what I want to do with my adaptation.
