Last Thursday Will, Dylan and I made another trip over to CAFT to see our set!
It's fantastic.
They are an extremely productive bunch and we could do with taking a few leaves out of their book.
Seeing it to scale made us realise how little room we will have! Previously we thought it would split down the middle and we would have a bar area on one side and games on the other but the bar area takes up the entire stage. This brings up troubles particularly with Beer Pong. Understandably CAFT made one Beer Pong set and waited for us to see it before making another because there is NO room! So we need to re-test Beer Pong to see how we can make it work with one set.
Do the two teams play at once, taking in turns to throw and seeing who can fill up the most in the time. Or do they play one after the other?
There were a few points they wanted to know.
Will they have access to the scene dock prior to our rigging days so that they can finish off the flats and decor (which would get torn in transit otherwise).
Can they paint the studio floor. No, we discovered.
What do we want our barmaid and landlord to look like.
