This Thursday we will be shooting some Brighton footage for our teaser trailer.
We are hoping to create the mood for the series and hint at the style and tone of our production.
I did some research into 'teasers' as opposed to trailers to see what had come about before. I found this teaser for the Walking Dead game.
I like how it seems like a normal day in a normal house, with answer phone messages being heard, and as the answer phone messages get more urgent and scary, the scene does too with blood etc. I like how the overall mood and subject is gradually revealed throughout the teaser. You become aware that something terrible has happened.
I also like the idea of the voice over. And we discussed this as a group and are interested in creating something similar. Using the walkie talkie conversations and perhaps the answer phone messages on Mark Warrens phone to give an idea of what happens.
In my head though we might need to do two. Because there is the story, which the show is about, but it's also about Roy Grace.
Can't wait to get this finished and get creative with some sound! It will be like the sound project all over again.
