Traffic. The one's over roads were quite busy and of course when the barriers went down a long stream of traffic built up.
To get the shots of the train coming and shots of the barriers lowering and lights flashing we have to wait for a train to come and be ready when it does.
The level crossing that has no road had little light sources (for night shoots). There are street lights on either side but not that close to the crossing. I reckon we would need more light than that, especially if they are particularly yellow but we shall have to check it out at night.

Blogger sucks and this blog has taking me over 2 hours because of rubbish photo uploading so will try the rest of the pics in another post.
In Casey's mum's house lighting shouldn't be a problem, there's just a bit of production design to be done to transform a bedroom into an office- or could we shoot the office in another home perhaps!?- This only just came to mind.
Good work guys - just a boring reminder - if you are filming near a road you need to ensure you are not a distraction or causing any obstruction - you don't want to be attributed for distracting drivers and causing an accident so position yourself carefully and ask the local authority and people responsible for the railway line and crossing for permission and advice (if you have not done so already!)
